PERFORMANCE PATHWAY

Grades 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th  

3-2-1…LAUNCH! In the LAUNCH Academy, students are nearly fully immersed in their college and career pathways.  For dual-enrolled college students, 90% of their classes are on the college campus.  For students enrolled in CTE pathways, now is where they will complete their capstones and work-based learning experiences at GEO’s employer and post-secondary partner locations. Launch Academy students continue to have access to school staff providing wrap-around support to achieve academic success.  

 
LAUNCH Academy Placement Requirements 

Academically On-Track 

• No more than two credits below grade level OR actively participating in remediation or credit recovery opportunities. 

Pathways:
(as defined by the Louisiana Board of Regents; Academic Affairs Policy 2.22) 

• Academic Dual Enrollment Path (TOPS University)  
  • Must meet one: 
  • 2.5 cumulative high school GPA AND either subject specific minimum assessment scores OR counselor recommendation 
  • 3.0 high school GPA AND counselor recommendation 
  • 2.5 cumulative college GPA  
• Technical Dual Enrollment Path (TOPS JumpStart)  
  • Must meet one: 
  • 2.0 cumulative high school GPA OR college GPA 
  • Counselor recommendation 

Attendance and Behavior 

• In good standing with the policies specified in the Student and Family Handbook.
