Accelerated Pathway

Grades 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th

In the LIFT Academy, it’s time to accelerate!  Students begin to advance their college and career achievements by participating with our post-secondary partners on a part-time basis (on the high school campus for some classes, participating in the school CTE programs, or at the college/career partner for at least half-time.)  The high school staff will continue to provide wraparound support to smoothly transition students to enter LAUNCH academy. All seniors must apply for FAFSA (Free Application For Student Federal Aid)

 

LIFT Academy Placement Requirements

Academically On-Track 

• No more than two credits below grade level OR actively participating in remediation or credit recovery opportunities. 

Pathways:
(as defined by the Louisiana Board of Regents; Academic Affairs Policy 2.22) 

• Academic Dual Enrollment Path (TOPS University)  
  • Must meet one: 
  • 2.5 cumulative high school GPA AND either subject specific minimum assessment scores OR counselor recommendation 
  • 3.0 high school GPA AND counselor recommendation 
  • 2.5 cumulative college GPA  
• Technical Dual Enrollment Path (TOPS JumpStart)  
  • Must meet one: 
  • 2.0 cumulative high school GPA OR college GPA 
  • Counselor recommendation 

Attendance and Behavior 

• In good standing with the policies specified in the Student and Family Handbook.
